VATSIM METAR Feed Offline

Just a heads-up, the METAR feed at VATSIM is currently offline. This is why the weather on the website is now a day and a half old. There's nothing we can do about it until the VATSIM Web team resolve the issue. If you are getting your weather directly from the FSD servers you won't likely be affect...

Re: Membership statistics

A bit more context for those stats: These are the numbers of members that are listed against each division in the VATSIM system. They include nearly two decades worth of suspended and deleted accounts, which are filtered out of the stats you can see on the Membership section of the website. For thos...

Re: Membership statistics

Here's some context for you - these are the Membership stats for the year to date: Screenshot_2019-07-05 Member Parser - Grafana.png As a percentage, VATNZ's 1.6% growth isn't too far below VATPAC's 2.3%. Given that the platform has been around for nearly two decades (longer if you include the SATCO...

Re: Problem booking for Cross The Ditch 16 June

Hi Emile, Sorry for the slow reply - I don't the events forum all that frequently, so didn't hear about your issues until Eric mailed me tonight. There have been a few issues recently with the vroute booking system and it seems to have misplaced a few of the flights that people have booked through t...

Re: Cross The Ditch Winter 2019

Yeah, I noticed the same thing about my flights. There have been a number of outages with some of the backend systems at vroute in recent weeks, and it seems like they have misplaced some data. The CTD booking engine submits your flight details to vroute once you complete the flight and if they resp...

Re: UTC TIME RE CROSS THE DITCH

Hi David,

If you check out the booking details page for your flight at https://crosstheditch.net/summer2018/fl ... oking/3264 you can see the times that you've booked.

You're due to depart Noumea at 0521z which is 1621 local time or 1821 NZDT.

Hope that helps,
Nick

Re: OPINION: Our treatment of VATPAC controllers when it comes to ATC in the NZZC FIR.

The inability for members who completed their training prior to the introduction of the new Training system to access the training information is a function of the Training system itself. There was an intention to grandfather in all of the previous training graduates so that they will have access as...

Re: Homepage carousel: your images wanted!

Tonight we've done our first refresh of the images in the carousel since the new site went live several years ago. I'd like to thank Alek Ristic and Zain Khan for allowing the use of their fantastic images for the new slides. There are still a couple more slides to be replaced, so if you've got any ...
