Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

G'day strangers!!

Just popped up to say I have not forgotten you all and to wish you a Merry Christmas and clear skies in 2011!

Next year might bring us closer again. Will let you know more as soon as I can.

Re: Season Greatings!!

Howdy Andy!!

Yeah, pull my leg. Actually I am responsible for a dairy research farm alright, but the PhD does help staying out of the milking roster.

Glad to see you here and very active from what I could tell.

Say hi to Anne (spelling?). Is she still in NZWN TWR?

Cheers

Re: Season Greatings!!

Heya Mark and Jeff, Thanks for the words and wishes. I look forward to flying with you again. I'm reasonably oiled behind the yoke and that's why I say flying, but wouldn't know my way around the current ATC client (never really took the time to study this one). However, I'm still reasonably comfort...

Season Greatings!!

Hello my friends, Ever since I came back to Brazil it became difficult to party with you online as the NZ 8 pm Sun is 5 am Sun here. Add the time for a coffee and a bit of planning and that makes a 4 am rise, which ain't very funny on Sunday, or any other day to that matter. Great to see all the peo...

Keep those highly qualified companies you take with you all the time (including shaking camera men) ...

In my PPL (in NZ mind you) I learned that magnetic declination and magnetic variation were synonyms. I probably kep declination because of my surveying background (Jamie Marshal, you there? ) ) and because in Portuguese the correct expression in this case is declinação magnética . In the text...

Steve, I beg to differ. I think your reasoning may be correct but declination is also the angle between the true and the mag norths, well actually magnetic declination, but that was implied. See this for instance: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_declination Not that Wikipedia is any good sourc...

Tony, I think you may have got your answer from the above posts, but I'll add this nevertheless. The magnetic north is the reference used for navigation, but the declination (i.e., the diff. between true and mag north) varies geografically and in time. The Earth's magnetic poles (N and S) are consta...

It's there. Wanna bet? I don't doubt it Wagner but it would take a foreigner to spot it  Maybe, but it's the very contrasting accents that stand out and, of course, the fact I was familiar with that very files playing in loops every single offline flights I did. They stick you know :) It is a...
