LevelD B767 FMC Procedures

#1 Post by Phil Faidley » Sun Oct 12, 2008 9:23 am

Hi Team
I wheeled out the B763 last week to dust off the cobwebs and take it on a quick trans-tasman dash and LO! - There were runway designations a-plenty, but no departure or arrival procs, no ILS approaches in the FMC, nothing, nada, zip, zilch. Actually had to hand-fly a visual into YSSY - not a pretty sight...

Can anyone else who has their LvlD B763 happily running advise where the .xml files for the procedures should live and/or any other suggestions as to why mine have disappeared? I hadnt been using the B76 for quite a while and I note that the last AIRAC that I have is 0802. I havent subscribed since then and have no updates.

Currently, I have a folder called "Navdata" under the LevelD Simulations\B763 folder with a stack of .xml files in it.
there is a proceduresdb.xml as well as a number of airport files called <icao>.xml e.g. NZAA.xml YSSY.xml, etc and these all have listed procs in them.

If anyone has any suggestions before tnights SNO, then I might trundle over in the B763, otherwise I might have to bring me an A330 and nobody wants that...

Thanks in advance
Phil

Phil

Do you have a Navigraph update (doesn't NEED to be the latest but advisable) around?

I would suggest reinstalling it if you do.

Phil,

You might want to check this from The Level-D Forums...

I installed the SIDs & STARs - but they don't show up in the FMC?

NOTE: Your machine may need msxml.msi (MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services))

LOL

Its even a Qantas one. I hear they have a new descent profile - not really passenger friendly but its quick.

I would prefer to bring out the good ol' tin, but hey, if you guys cant fix the problem, it might just have to be an Airbus! There's an incentive for you

There are some suggestions below, i will check and see. only got about 45 mins before ETD...
