Wilco Airbus Series Vol 1 & 2

#1 Post by Brian Howard » Thu Jun 18, 2009 6:50 pm

Wilco Airbus drivers...while I'am having this keyboard problem with my FS9 is there anyway you can swap views like the overhead panel/Radio/throttle quadrant and the flight management devise (FMS) I normally do it by using the shift key with a number key but while I'am running FS my keyboard does not work (I even hooked up another USB keyboard but its still the same problem) I was going to do a complete re-install but I left one of the FS disks at home in NZ so I will have put up with this problem til I get home...the PMDG is ok as you can change views using those clickable icons on the main panel....so I guess "if its not Boeing we aint Going"...Brian

Brian,

the Wilco Bus has a "spot panel" on the lower left side... move the mouse pointer of the lower side of the 2d panel and the "view selectors" are supposed to show up there - they are like hidden icons.

Maybe a look at the "view options" helps too. I believe you can turn those on/off somewhere on the view menu.
Best regards,
Norbert

Brian,

What is the Wilco Airbus like? I don't have a very good Airbus, most of mine have been quick downloads before events, realising at the last minute that I need an Airbus.

How steep is the learning curve? I know its an Airbus but is the systems rather complicated? Nice model etc and availability of re-paints for the models.

Let me know, it might be my next Flight Simulator purchase.

Cheers.

Ok my first question...

I was flying NZCH to NZAA the other night and I wanted to change from NAV mode to HDG hold and I just could not! I disconnected the autopilot, clicked all of the buttons in the world but just could not get up a heading bug which the aircraft would follow... help?!

I hope its not something simple :(

Leon,

"plastic de Toulouse" has different philospohpy..

push - yours
pull - mine

so, click on the HDG bug and see of there is a "full-orange-dot" instead of heading numbers... that would mean "Pierre, le co-pilot" is in command.

If you see numbers - you are in command

Same for speeds and altitude... you have orange (or sometimes green, e.g. "bigger plastic de France") dot you are just watching.. you have numbers, you are in charge of the values..

Hope that helped 8)
