RAAFvirtual Monthly Bulletin

#1 Post by James Larkin » Mon May 10, 2010 3:24 pm

Good evening all,

RAAFvirtual has commenced a new initiative of monthly community bulletins, which is hoped to keep you informed of key items, along with an active interest in RAAFvirtual.

Recruiting
RAAFvirtual is currently coming to the end of the last recruiting intake, and the members are progressing to their new Squadrons and Aircraft. What this means is that there will be another Recruit intake in the coming weeks, so watch this space for more information.

PIREP system
RAAFvirtual is happilly able to say that it's ATOMS system is in full motion and is meeting members demands. It is constantly undergoing modifications and enhancements to give the member the best experience possible.

Training
RAAFvirtual is now re-developing all its initial training to provide a more comprehensive training resource for new members of the organisation as to bring us in to line with the current vSOA requirements. This will enable a pilot to gain a VATSIM MIL pilot rating when this is brought on line.

Operations/Exercises
RAAFvirtual will be on Quick Response Alert from next week using curring H24 RSAs around the WLM/AMB areas. There will be abnormal numbers of aircraft movements between 1900-0000 AEST.

We will also be deploying to Malaysia in the coming months for Bersama Lima which will see us enter a combined exercise in the South China Sea.

Please check out http://www.raafvirtual.org for any other information that you may have or do not hesitate to send an email to caf@raafvirtual.org if you have any quires or points that you would like to raise with the vChief of Air Force.

Kind Regards,

(Could someone please move this to the partner VA section, as I do not have the rights to post in there as of yet.)
